Welcome to my science blog! I recently received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and I've managed to snag myself a teaching job! I am so thrilled to be teaching 5th grade science this year and am transitioning from my previous student teaching blog - Circus of Learning. I cannot wait to share the ideas and experiences that I have with my first teaching job! In addition to my Master's Degree, I also have a Bachelor of Arts with a Concentration in Graphic Design. My creativity is definitely proving to be beneficial in my new career and I'm so pumped up about using my technological and creative background in my classroom.
I have an online portfolio that I created in order to introduce myself to the teaching world and I intend on keeping up with it. It's just more of a formal showcase of the lessons, activities, units, and projects that I have done {and will do} rather than this fun, informal blog. I like to tell people about it because when I was trying to get my name out there, I really didn't find a whole lot of formal media networking options and I would have loved to seen some examples of teacher portfolios.
